Due to its chemical structure, sodium hyaluronate is capable of binding many times its weight in water. As sodium hyaluronate represents a natural substance in the human body, very good tolerability is guaranteed. In addition, URSAPHARM has found a way to eliminate potentially harmful preservatives and phosphates from the solutions by filling them into a highly innovative multidose container – the COMOD^® system. As a consequence, the URSAPHARM’s medical devices for the treatment of dry eyes are highly effective at moistening the ocular surface while at the same time providing the best possible tolerability and patient safety.
