With launching Retaron®, URSAPHARM provides a new ultra modern compound for dietetic treatment of age related macula degeneration (AMD). On the one hand macula carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin enhance the density of the macula pigments. Additionally omega- 3- fatty acids, as they appear in fat- rich cold water fishes, make a contribution to the protection of the membranes of retinal photoreceptors.
Antioxidants defend against free radicals which are hold responsible for damages in the retina.
